Have you descaled your Philips 5400 series super-automatic coffee machine and the descale light is still on? There could be several reasons, let’s see.
The first is that you have left the descaling halfway done.
If you have turned off the coffee maker in the middle of the process, it is a move and you should contact Philips customer service to solve it ( you can do it from here )
The second reason is that you have not done enough “rinsing” after descaling.
After descaling the Philips 5400 series super-automatic coffee maker, it is recommended to rinse it twice with two full tanks; if you don’t do this, the light may not turn off.
In this case the solution is simple, you simply have to fill a water tank and rinse completely, emptying it.
Simply doing that should turn off the descale light.
